Fitness and Personal Training

Dr. Shalonda is a medical professional turned health coach and personal trainer! She focuses on fitness in individuals that have co-morbid conditions like arthritis, obesity, neuromuscular disorders, injuries or any other diagnosis that might require a special understanding of your fitness requirements and/or limitations. As a former college athlete, she knows how some trainers push “no pain, no gain” ideas but doesn’t believe that is the appropriate approach for everyone. Instead, she takes time to understand your situation and needs and creates a unique program tailored just for you!

We use heart rate based monitoring and other tools to ensure effective exercise and avoidance of over training.

We’re not a large gym but instead focus on using minimal equipment, reducing injury and maximizing time.
